Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of pre-made puff pastry
- 2/3 cup almond meal
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup plums, sliced
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
- 2 tablespoons apricot preserves
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C
Put the puff pastry on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper and roll it out
Put almond meal, sugar, softened butter, egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract in a bowl and mix them all together until they are well mixed
Spread the almond mixture out evenly on top of the puff pastry, leaving a little space around the edges
Put cherry halves and slices of plum on top of the almond mixture
Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the fruit is soft
Warm the apricot preserves in a small saucepan until they melt while the tart is still warm
Pour the melted jam over the fruit to cover it
Let the tart cool down a bit before you serve it
Add powdered sugar to the top
You can serve it hot or cold
